Sweet Sixteen, baby!

I think a UCLA vs. North Carolina championship game would be (as my brother likes to say): "Sweeeeeet!!!!"

Note: Posts will probably be even fewer and farther between for the next couple of weeks (if that's possible) than they have been lately. I have a BIG BUSINESS MEETING in Scottsdale this weekend and then I'm off to Palm Desert for a week of vacay which will hopefully include much lounging by the pool and frou frou drinks brought to me by a chiseled guy named Stefan wearing a tiny Speedo.

Hey, a girl can dream, right?

Go Bruins!

Having won the Pac-10 tournament and received a No. 1 seed in the West, the Bruins are poised to successfully "March" through the "Madness." While I'm not typically a big basketball fan (I know, I know, shocking...for a Bruin...somewhere out there I hope John Wooden will forgive me) but since our football team left a LOT to be desired this year, I have to look for some Bruin triumphs somewhere.

R.I.P.

In the last few years, I've seen some of the major stars of the sci fi/fantasy genre pass from this world including Marion Zimmer Bradley and Andre Norton. Now Arthur C. Clarke is gone and I daresay the world is a poorer place today because of it.

A new definition...

...for "red hooker shoes." Although these are patent leather and not suede.

And if I could afford them (darn you, Jimmy Choo, and your crazy-ass shoe prices), I'd definitely award my new guy this ranking ;-)

KJ - who is off to dinner and a hockey game tomorrow night with said new guy. Yay - a real date!
